These little critters are made with the skills I learnt at my cake decorating course. My favourite is the cyclops shaggy mum. The best thing about these is that the tips do most of the work for you! Simple, but effective.

Pear and rocket salad.
This is a really easy and delicious salad. You don’t even really need a recipe. You can add your own twist on it, but adding walnuts, avocado or even haloumi.
Basically add rocket, a just ripe pear (halved, cored and sliced), juice of 1/2 lemon, salt and pepper, olive oil and a bit of grated parmesan.

This is my first attempt at cake decorating. I recently did a course with a friend at Millys.
It’s a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting, but not the buttercream frosting I’ve been making with butter and cream cheese - this is made with Sno Cream (vegetable stabiliser), meringue powder (which makes the icing set nicely, but not rock hard), icing sugar and the essence of your choice.

Breakfast burrito from Vinyl Cafe, Dominion Rd. This is the chorizo version but you can get vege or even vegan if it tickles your fancy. Between these and the curly fries, you really need to check it out.

Valentines day cupcakes!
A friend gave me some silicon heart cases, so I thought why not try these out for valentines day? You can’t completely tell from the top that they’re heart shaped, so as usual, I thought I’d make it a bit more obvious. My sis is over at the mo and helped me decorate them.
